Vashtie x Beats By Dre x Violette Collaboration Party

Vashtie x Beats By Dre x Violette Collaboration Party

Back in March, Vashtie’s clothing brand Violette collaborated with Beats By Dr Dre for a limited edition set of Beats By Dre x Violette headphones. The event was DJ’ed by YOUNG GURU & JASMINE SOLANO. Drinks came courtesy of HEINEKEN & HENNESSY (TEAM EPIPHANY).

Here’s what Vashtie had to say about the Violette x Beats By Dre collab:

“Oh snap”. That’s exactly what ran through my head when my friend and old manager Candice Pilgrim, (who was now managing the Beats By Dre Store) hit me up with the idea that I should do my own limited edition set of Beats By Dre.

Since Violette was about to unveil its New York Collection, it seemed right that we make something that was an homage to New York City. Hence…the Taxi Cab Design. Punctuated by checker print and marigold, these headphones will be sure to get you going!

This is artist Parra’s take on the LA Dodger’s classic blue/white logo spelling M-A-D-L-I-B. Only a few people could make the connection with the Dodgers when the originally saw the shirt so Madlib said, “fuck it, do the new one black & white.”
